On December 1, 2023, CO\u2082 emission classes were introduced as a new tariff feature for truck tolls. The basis for this was the Toll Amendment Act<\/a> at the time. A CO\u2082 price of 200 euros per tonne was used for the CO\u2082-related toll component. For toll-eligible vehicles with a technically permissible total mass of at least 7.5 tonnes, a toll rate differentiated by CO\u2082 emission class was added to the existing toll components. Depending on the vehicle class, this led to significantly higher toll rates at the time. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
