Storage in log files serves to improve the security of our website (e.g. protection against DDoS attacks). Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website and improving website security. These may include cookies, tracking pixels and\/or mobile identifiers. <\/p>\n<p>Recognizing a device can generally serve different purposes. It may be necessary to provide functions of our website, for example to provide a shopping cart. In addition, the technologies mentioned can be used to track user behavior on the site, for example for advertising purposes. Which technologies we use in detail and for which purposes is described separately in this privacy policy.   <\/p>\n<p>For a better understanding, we explain below in general how cookies, tracking pixels and mobile identifiers work:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cookies are small text files that contain certain information and are stored on the user's device. The legal basis for the use of such cookies is Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the functions of our website.    <\/p>\n<p>We use cookies that are not required for the operation of our website to make our offering more user-friendly or to be able to track the use of our website. The legal basis here depends on whether the user's consent must be obtained or whether we can rely on a legitimate interest. Consent given can be revoked by the user at any time, among other ways via the settings in their browser.  <\/p>\n<p>The user can prevent and object to the processing of data using cookies by adjusting the settings in their browser. In the event of an objection, it is possible that not all functions of our website will be available. We regularly review, but at least every two years, whether data collected in connection with contacts must be deleted. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"newsletter\">Newsletter<\/h2>\n<p>Users have the option to sign up for newsletters on our site. In doing so, we process the data entered during registration in order to send a confirmation email to the user's email address. After confirmation, we process the data in order to send newsletters. For personalization purposes, we may also process the user's name if the user has provided it.   <\/p>\n<p>Upon registration, the date and time as well as the user's IP address are stored in order to be able to prove the registration. After unsubscribing, we continue to process this data for evidentiary purposes and delete it after three years at the end of the year. <\/p>\n<p><strong>To improve our content, we measure how successful our newsletters are, for example how often they are opened by users and which links are clicked. For this purpose, emails contain a tracking pixel. We do not track the activities of individual users.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The legal basis for processing is the user's consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. a) GDPR. Otherwise, processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are sending newsletters, addressing the user in a personalized manner, and proving that the user has signed up for the newsletter.      <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"registrierung-fuer-ein-benutzerkonto\">Registration for a user account<\/h2>\n<p>Users can register on our website for our offering. In this context, we process the data entered during registration. We have the email address confirmed by sending a link (double opt-in) in order to prevent misuse of the registration function. For this purpose, we also process the date and time and the user's IP address. For evidentiary purposes, when the confirmation link is clicked, we also process the date, time and IP address of the user.    <\/p>\n<p>The data will be deleted when the user account is deleted after three years at the end of the year, unless a longer statutory retention obligation applies.<\/p>\n<p>The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. a) GDPR insofar as we obtain the user's consent. If processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract, it is based on Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. b) GDPR. Otherwise, the legal basis is Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in enabling users to access our offering that requires registration, protecting ourselves against misuse of the registration function, and being able to prove proper registration. After deletion of the user account, our legitimate interest also lies in defending against possible claims.            <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"stellenbewerbungen\">Job applications<\/h2>\n<p>If users apply for a position, we process personal data for the purpose of the application process. In addition to the data submitted by the user, we process further data that arises in the course of the application process (e.g. during an interview). If we include data in an applicant pool, this is done only on the basis of the user's prior consent. In this case, the data will be processed beyond the conclusion of the application process so that we can contact the user if suitable job offers arise.   <\/p>\n<p>Applicant data will be deleted three months after completion of the application process. If included in an applicant pool, the data will be stored for a maximum of two years unless the consent given is revoked earlier. <\/p>\n<p>The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. b) GDPR. If consent is given for inclusion in an applicant pool, processing is based on Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. a) GDPR. After completion of the application process, processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1) subpara. 1 lit. f) GDPR. The user's IP address is automatically shortened, so it is no longer possible to draw conclusions about individual persons.
